Football Recap: Agoura Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Agoura lost against Thousand Oaks back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Chargers and the Lancers were almost perfectly matched up, but the Chargers suffered a 20-19 defeat. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Lancers are ranked 73rd).

When it comes to explaining why Agoura lost, don't look at Gavin Gray. Despite the final result, he threw for 232 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 37 yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Thousand Oaks to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jackson Taylor, who threw for 195 yards and three TDs. Luke Sullivan was Taylor's top target, picking up 78 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Agoura now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Thousand Oaks, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Agoura wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 31-17 victory against Calabasas on the 12th. As for Thousand Oaks, they have also already played their next matchup, a 49-15 win against West Ranch on the 11th.
