Football Recap: Concordia Prep Saints vs. McDonogh Eagles
Concordia Prep extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 3-6. They came up short against the McDonogh Eagles, falling 25-0. The shutout was out of character for the Saints seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.
As for McDonogh, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Considering they have won three matchups by more than 24 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
A big part of McDonogh's victory came down to the chemistry between Braeden Palazzo and his top target Carlos Ferguson. Palazzo threw for 167 yards and one touchdown while Ferguson picked up 128 receiving yards and one TD. Those 128 receiving yards gave Ferguson a new career-high.
Concordia Prep didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-7 defeat against Calvert Hall on the 1st. As for McDonogh, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 31-0 win against Gilman on the 1st.
