Soccer Recap: Mckinney North's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

McKinney North's and Sherman's game on Saturday was close at halftime, but McKinney North turned on the heat in the second half with two goals. The McKinney North Bulldogs' defense stepped up to hand the Sherman Bearcats a 3-0 shutout. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 99th in Texas, while the Bearcats are ranked 340th in Texas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory was the third in a row for McKinney North, bringing their record for this year to 9-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three matches. As for Sherman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

McKinney North has already played their next game, a 6-0 win against Denison on the 25th. As for Sherman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 4-0 victory against Greenville on the 25th.
