Softball Recap: Irvine Comes Up Short

Irvine lost against Rosary Academy on April 11th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vaqueros came up short against the Royals, falling 14-1. The Vaqueros have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Katie Liu made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and one double.

Irvine's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Rosary Academy, they pushed their record up to 23-2-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Irvine will welcome Portola at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vaqueros are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Rosary Academy, they will head out to challenge Northwood at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Timberwolves will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
