Baseball Recap: Austin-East Comes Up Short on the Road Against Karns

Austin-East kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 15-0 to the Karns Beavers. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

Austin-East saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thomas Hatugimana, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple.

Karns pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Austin-East will square off against Campbell County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Karns, they will take on Coalfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
