Baseball Game Preview: Bristol Central Rams vs. Platt Panthers

The Bristol Central Rams will head out to square off against the Platt Panthers at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Bristol Central will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Bristol Central will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating RHAM, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Rams came out on top in a nail-biter against the Raptors on Monday, sneaking past 6-5. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by just one run.

Meanwhile, Platt came up short against Hall on Monday and fell 7-4.

Platt saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vance Romano, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Romano has launched this season. Another was Braelen Silverio, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Platt dropped their record down to 8-3-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bristol Central, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Bristol Central skirted past Platt 9-8 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
