Preview: Lakeview Charter Lions vs. Community Charter Titans
Having just played yesterday, the Lakeview Charter Lions will get right back to it and host the Community Charter Titans at 2:30 p.m. on January 18th.
Lakeview Charter suffered their biggest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Wednesday. They were the victim of a rough 57-33 defeat at the hands of Triumph Charter. Lakeview Charter has struggled against Triumph Charter recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Community Charter scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Valley Oaks CES 53-27. That 26 points margin sets a new team best for Community Charter this season.
Community Charter can attribute much of their success to Jefferson Barahona, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barahona has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Antonio Chancon, who scored ten points.
Lakeview Charter has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Community Charter, they pushed their record up to 4-7 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Everything went Lakeview Charter's way against Community Charter when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as Lakeview Charter made off with a 64-40 victory.
