Football Game Preview: Auburn Bulldogs vs. Fairbury Jeffs + Official Tickets

The Auburn Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Fairbury Jeffs on Friday. Auburn will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.

Auburn is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Falls City: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Bulldogs blew the Tigers out of the water with a 41-6 final score. The Bulldogs not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 25, 2024 (when they won 53-0).

Tayber Rademacher and Drayven Lamb were among the main playmakers for Auburn as the former gained 134 total yards and two touchdowns and the latter rushed for 71 yards and two scores. Rademacher showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 69 yards.

Auburn didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Falls City to a completion percentage of just 25%. The Bulldogs weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 43.8%.

Auburn didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Crew Gulizia and Lane Jones. Gulizia got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Fairbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of Wilber-Clatonia. While the Jeffs had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Wolverines 6-0.

Fairbury's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Auburn, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-4.

Everything came up roses for Auburn against Fairbury in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 41-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
