Volleyball Recap: Georgetown-Ridge Farm Takes a Loss

Georgetown-Ridge Farm lost against Westville back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Buffaloes fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1.

Milee Ellis paced Georgetown-Ridge Farm's offense, picking up 13 kills. Ellis got some help from Rubyrae Fraser-Soule and her 16 assists. Finally, Addisen Ellis kept Georgetown-Ridge Farm's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Westville can attribute much of their success to Daylin Zaayer, who had ten digs and one assist.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm's loss dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Westville, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 25-6.

Looking ahead, Georgetown-Ridge Farm will square off against Hoopeston at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Buffaloes are facing the Cornjerkers at the right time seeing as the Cornjerkers are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Westville, they will face off against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
