Notre Dame put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Zachary Broncos 13-2. Considering the Pioneers have won 16 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Notre Dame got a great performance from Madaline Johnson as she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. What's more, Johnson posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since March 1st.
On the hitting side, Malayna Daigle was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cate Romero, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Notre Dame pushed their record up to 19-0 with the win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season.
