Chicago Marshall hadn't done well against Marine Leadership Academy recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Commandos walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bulldogs. The Commandos were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Bulldogs, so the Commandos were just returning the favor.

The victory didn't come easy: Marine Leadership Academy scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18.

Chicago Marshall's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Marine Leadership Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 4-4 record.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Chicago Marshall will challenge rival North Lawndale at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Marine Leadership Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Chicago Sullivan at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
