Basketball Game Preview: Oak Grove Classical Academy Owls vs. Cottonwood Classical Prep Coyotes

The Oak Grove Classical Academy Owls will venture away from home to face off against the Cottonwood Classical Prep Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Oak Grove Classical Academy has three straight victories, Cottonwood Classical Prep has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Oak Grove Classical Academy humbled Jemez Valley with a 72-36 victory. The Owls have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 28 points or more this season.

Brody Prochnow was his usual excellent self, putting up 22 points. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. Jonas Saiz was another key player, posting 11 points.

Meanwhile, Cottonwood Classical Prep lost to Sandia Prep on the road by a 64-46 margin on Tuesday.

Oak Grove Classical Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-16.
