Softball Recap: Dixon Comes Up Short

Dixon's last matchup with Casa Roble could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. Dixon lost 8-2 to Casa Roble. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, Dixon couldn't push the score so high this time.

Dixon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allison Latham, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Latham is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Dixon's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Casa Roble, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-5-1.

Dixon and Casa Roble should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Rams (ranked 253rd) will meet El Camino (ranked 818th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Casa Roble will face off against Woodland at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (218 vs. 875).
