Preview: Coudersport Falcons vs. Oswayo Valley Green Wave
Coudersport is 10-0 against Oswayo Valley since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Coudersport Falcons will be home for the holidays to greet the Oswayo Valley Green Wave at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Wednesday, it was a hard-fought game, but Coudersport had to settle for a 47-44 defeat against Port Allegany. Coudersport has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Oswayo Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Otto-Eldred on the road and fell 65-8. While losing is never fun, Oswayo Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 515th, while Otto-Eldred is ranked 48th).
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Oswayo Valley struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Coudersport's loss was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-2. As for Oswayo Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Coudersport beat Oswayo Valley 65-56 in their previous meeting back in February. Will Coudersport repeat their success, or does Oswayo Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
