Basketball Recap: Shawnee Mission West's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gardner-Edgerton, Shawnee Mission West was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 44-27 win over the Junction City Bluejays. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Junction City, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Shawnee Mission West will challenge Sumner Academy on Monday. As for Junction City, they will square off against Andover at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Andover is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.4 points per game this season.
