Preview: Seminole Warhawks vs. Manatee Hurricanes
Seminole has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Manatee Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Seminole is ranked 376th, while Manatee is ranked 363rd).
Seminole posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They put the hurt on Osceola with a sharp 38-15 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Seminole has posted against Osceola since November 16, 2018.
Seminole relied on the efforts of Devon Swartz, who scored nine points along with two blocks, and Laney Pearson, who scored 17 points. Swartz is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last six games she's played.
Meanwhile, Manatee didn't have too much trouble with Hardee at home on Thursday as they won 50-36. The win made it back-to-back wins for Manatee.
The victory got Seminole back to even at 11-11. As for Manatee, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Seminole strolled past Manatee when the teams last played back in November of 2022 by a score of 44-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seminole since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
