Softball Recap: Sterling Golden Warriors vs. East Moline United Panthers
Sterling's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the East Moline United Panthers 6-5. This was a revenge game for the Golden Warriors: when they faced off against the Panthers back in April, they had to take a 9-8 defeat.
Lily Martinez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. Martinez was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
