Football Recap: Gahr Gladiators vs. Firebaugh Falcons
Gahr won the last time they faced Firebaugh, and things went their way on Friday too. The Gahr Gladiators breezed by the Firebaugh Falcons to the tune of 42-6. The result was nothing new for the Gladiators, who have now won three contests by 24 points or more so far this season.
Gahr's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Roman Acosta led the charge by throwing for 180 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 passes. Dylan Richburg helped Acosta out on the ground, rushing for 125 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Gahr's defense and their 4.5 sacks. Firebaugh's QB won't forget Richburg anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Malachi Williams was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gahr will head out to square off against Paramount at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Paramount will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Gahr surely won't give up without a fight. As for Firebaugh, they will venture away from home to take on Compton Early College at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Firebaugh is facing Compton Early College at the right time seeing as Compton Early College is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
