Softball Recap: Wilson Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Thales Academy Rolesville last Tuesday, Wilson Christian Academy came back down to earth. Wilson Christian Academy fell just short of the Eastern Christian HomeSchool Trailblazers by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trailblazers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2018.

Katie McBryde was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassidy Reynell, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

With the defeat, Wilson Christian Academy broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2. As for Eastern Christian HomeSchool, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Wilson Christian Academy will head out to face off against Bethel Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wilson Christian Academy will need to watch out since Bethel Christian Academy has now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Eastern Christian HomeSchool, they will host Martin County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Eastern Christian HomeSchool has won four straight at home, while Martin County won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
