Baseball Recap: Central Lyon Comes Up Short

After flying high against Western Christian on Thursday, Central Lyon came back down to earth. The Lions fell just short of the Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove Falcons by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Central Lyon's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

When Central Lyon and Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Lions will face off against Hinton and their three-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Central Lyon 3.2, the Blackhawks 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
