Baseball Recap: Northwest Gets the Win

Northwest's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the St. Martinville Tigers by a score of 9-4. This was payback for the Raiders, who suffered a 9-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

Brayden Batiste was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing six bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those six stolen bases gave him a new career-high. H. Brown was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.

The victory got Northwest back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Northwest will square off against Abbeville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Martinville, they will face off against Cecilia at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
