Basketball Game Preview: Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils vs. Indianapolis Washington Continentals

Indianapolis Shortridge is 10-0 against Indianapolis Washington since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils will take on the Indianapolis Washington Continentals in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Indianapolis Washington's win came from a few key players Indianapolis Shortridge will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ele'Jah Smith, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Shamya Orr, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards.

Indianapolis Shortridge's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Indianapolis Washington, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Everything came up roses for Indianapolis Shortridge against Indianapolis Washington in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 62-28 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Indianapolis Shortridge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
