Volleyball Recap: Holy Name Falls Despite Big Games from Cindy Viera and Isabella Dinya

Holy Name was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the North Catholic Trojans. The Green Wave were not able to make up for their defeat to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Holy Name's loss came despite strong showings from Isabella Dinya and Cindy Viera. Dinya had nine digs and two aces, while Viera had seven digs and two aces. Dinya has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last five times she's played.

Holy Name's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for North Catholic, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-2.

Coming up, Holy Name will challenge Beaumont School at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Catholic, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Brecksville-Broadview Heights at 11:00 a.m. on October 11.
