Football Recap: Snake River Piles Up the Points Against Bear Lake

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Snake River). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Bear Lake Bears 37-6. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their seven-point performance the game before.

Snake River's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Clancy Howell, who rushed for 119 yards while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Snake River proved: they limited Bear Lake to a paltry 0.6 yards per carry. The Panthers didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged seven.

Snake River's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Bear Lake, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Snake River will head out to square off against South Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.75 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bear Lake, they will host Jackson Hole at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
