Football Game Preview: Madison Bobcats vs. Thunder Ridge Titans + How To Watch

Madison is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Friday. They will be playing at home against the Thunder Ridge Titans at 7:00 p.m. Madison will be strutting in after a win while Thunder Ridge will be coming in after a loss.

Madison is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Blackfoot, who was ranked 24th at the time (Madison was ranked 12th). The Bobcats walked away with a 32-24 victory over the Broncos on Friday. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Broncos recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Thunder Ridge ended up a good deal behind Highland on Friday and lost 38-23. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Madison will need to focus on slowing down Ryder Portmann, one of several Thunder Ridge players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Preston McDaniel, who picked up 89 receiving yards and one score.

Thunder Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Madison, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Madison against Thunder Ridge in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 43-12 victory. In that contest, the Bobcats amassed a halftime lead of 29-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
