Prospect Mountain entered their tilt with Newport on Monday with 13 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 14. They came within a single  run of losing the streak, but they secured  a   3-2 W against the Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Timberwolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Alexis Wilson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out 16 batters over  eight innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits. Those  16  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
 Wilson wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Paige Harding, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  run.
Prospect Mountain pushed their record up to 14-1 with the  win, which was their 13th straight  at home dating back to last season. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Newport, their  loss was their first of the  season and  makes their record 7-1.
 Coincidentally, Prospect Mountain and Newport will both be playing Monadnock the next time they take the field. The Tigers will  host the Huskies at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday, while the Timberwolves will head out to face them  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
