Basketball Recap: Mount Tabor Skates Past Pearl-Cohn with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mount Tabor). They blew past the Pearl-Cohn Firebirds 101-65 on Monday. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.

The win was the fifth in a row for Mount Tabor, bringing their record for this year to 8-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24 points. As for Pearl-Cohn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Tabor will venture away from home to take on Davie at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Mount Tabor knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Davie likes a good challenge. As for Pearl-Cohn, they will square off against Jackson County at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
