Volleyball Recap: Illinois Lutheran Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Illinois Lutheran had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 2-0 to the Crete-Monee Warriors on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Chargers in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15.

Illinois Lutheran's offense was headlined by Julia Jacobucci and Zoe Noonan, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Danni Medendorp and her three assists.

Illinois Lutheran will square off against Heritage Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crete-Monee, they will challenge Beecher at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
