Volleyball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Brookline

Brookline waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Natick Redhawks as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Brookline might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Natick scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 25-23.

Emilie Ferdinand paced Brookline's offense, picking up 15 kills. Ferdinand got some help from Nora Mullen and her 33 assists. Mullen also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mia Jones, racking up five apiece.

Brookline's record now sits at 6-1. As for Natick, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Brookline has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Newton South on the 19th. After both having extra time off, Natick and Braintree will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
