Softball Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

Lafayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Anderson County Bearcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Generals of the 4-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2021.

Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Anderson County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Lafayette will head out to challenge Henry Clay at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Anderson County, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Campbell County at 5:00 p.m.
