Basketball Recap: Edgewood Takes a Loss

If Edgewood was riding high fresh off their 69-34 takedown of Madison last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Edgewood Cougars took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monroe Hornets. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now lost seven in a row.

Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Monroe, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edgewood will head out to square off against Waynesville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monroe, they will head out on the road to face off against Butler at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
