Baseball Game Preview: Pahokee Blue Devils vs. Glades Central Raiders

Pahokee is 0-10 against Glades Central since April of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Pahokee Blue Devils are taking a road trip to face off against the Glades Central Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Pahokee has given up an average of 20.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Pahokee is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 25th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They came up short against Oxbridge Academy, falling 24-0.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 17 runs the game before, Glades Central was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They lost 10-1 to Atlantic Christian.

Glades Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Edison Cruz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Glades Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Pahokee, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Pahokee suffered a grim 16-1 defeat to Glades Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Pahokee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
