Baseball Recap: Millard South Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Millard South couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 10-3 to the Lincoln East Spartans on Wednesday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Patriots, who until this contest were averaging 3.73 runs allowed.

Millard South saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Wick, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Millard South's loss dropped their record down to 25-12. As for Lincoln East, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 32-3.

As of now, neither Millard South nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
