Menendez is 0-10 against Clay since March of 2016 but things could change on Wednesday. The Falcons will face off against the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Menendez is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Menendez is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand St. Augustine a 15-0 shutout. The win was nothing new for the Falcons as they're now sitting on three straight.

Rylan Degrande and Madison Faust did most of the damage at the plate: Degrande got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double, while Faust went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Ava Carter was another key player, going 1-for-2 with four RBI and one run.

Menendez always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Clay had taken Middleburg down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Blue Devils lost 17-1 to the Broncos. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amiah Carrubba, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

The victory got Menendez back to even at 10-10. As for Clay, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.

Menendez might still be hurting after the 10-2 loss they got from Clay in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
