Baseball Recap: Wasatch Comes Up Short

After flying high against Timpview on Friday, Wasatch came back down to earth. The Wasps came up short against the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles on Tuesday, falling 11-1. The loss continues a trend for the Wasps in their meetings with the Golden Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Wasatch saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eddie Bluth, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Bluth's first of the season.

Wasatch's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Maple Mountain, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-1.

While Wasatch had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
