Baseball Recap: Woodlands Takes a Loss

Woodlands extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-5 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Ramapo [Ramapo/Spring Valley] Titans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Titans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 17-5 loss last Monday.

As for East Ramapo [Ramapo/Spring Valley], they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games.

For East Ramapo [Ramapo/Spring Valley]'s part, Sadiel Rodriguez was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Rodriguez has become a key player for the Titans: the team is 10-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Jayker Ogando was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

As of now, neither Woodlands nor East Ramapo [Ramapo/Spring Valley] have any future games scheduled.
