Basketball Recap: Estill County Takes a Loss

If Estill County was riding high fresh off their 77-32 takedown of Owsley County last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The contest between the Estill County Engineers and the Hazard Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs didn't end well, with the Estill County Engineers falling 71-57. The loss continues a trend for the Engineers in their matchups with the Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs: they've now lost six in a row.

Estill County's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Hazard, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-2 record this season.

Estill County will challenge Lee County at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hazard, they will face off against Buckhorn at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
