Recap: Juab Wasps vs. Carbon Dinos
The Juab Wasps lost against the Carbon Dinos back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Juab took a hard 60-46 fall against Carbon. Juab has not had much luck with Carbon recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Juab's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lucy Richards, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Cuff, who scored 12 points.
Carbon was led to victory by Madison Orth and Amiah Timothy. Orth scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Timothy scored 17 points along with seven assists and four steals. Orth has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kylan Sorenson, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Juab's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Carbon, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.
Juab will head out on the road to square off against North Sanpete at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Sanpete is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Carbon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Delta at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Delta is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
