Basketball Recap: Pelham Triumphs

Pelham hadn't done well against Spain Park recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Pelham Panthers slipped by the Spain Park Jaguars 36-35. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 55-45 victory the Jaguars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2022.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pelham to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tee King, who posted 14 points and five assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which King has scored at least a third of Pelham's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Hollingsworth, who put up eight points.

Pelham has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Spain Park, they moved to 11-10 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Pelham will face off against Chelsea at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pelham is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Spain Park, they will take on Helena at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
