Mt. Hebron is 8-2 against Wilde Lake since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Vikings will host the Wildecats at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mt. Hebron has five straight victories, Wilde Lake has 16 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Mt. Hebron had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Hammond on Wednesday. The Vikings blew past the Golden Bears 13-4. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Wilde Lake lost 21-3 to Centennial on Wednesday.

Mt. Hebron pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Wilde Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Mt. Hebron took their win against Wilde Lake in their previous meeting last Wednesday by a conclusive 29-0 score. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildecats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
