Baseball Recap: Hoover Takes a Loss

Hoover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Burroughs Bears, falling 17-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-1 on Tuesday.

Hoover's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Burroughs, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hoover will challenge Mark Keppel at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burroughs, they will square off against Shadow Hills at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bears 2, the Knights 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
