Baseball Recap: Guthrie Comes Up Short

Guthrie lost to Marlow back in April of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bluejays came up short against the Outlaws, falling 9-2. The Bluejays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clayton Carey put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Carey was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Guthrie's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Marlow, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-2.

Looking ahead, Guthrie will venture away from home to challenge Carl Albert at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Marlow, they will welcome Woodward at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
