Baseball Game Preview: Saegertown Panthers vs. Greenville Trojans

The Saegertown Panthers will square off against the Greenville Trojans on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Saegertown is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Wilmington a 10-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Blake Leslie was incredible, going 1-for-2 with six RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Wyatt Burchill was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Greenville made easy work of Union City on Monday and carried off a 10-0 victory.

The team relied heavily on Brandon Stubert, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Jackson Leskovac also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Greenville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Union City only posted an OBP of .059.

Saegertown's record now sits at 15-2. As for Greenville, their record is now an identical 15-2.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Saegertown has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.2 hits per game. However, it's not like Greenville struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.7 hits.
