Basketball Game Preview: Cape Hatteras Hurricanes vs. Ocracoke Dolphins

Cape Hatteras and Ocracoke are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Cape Hatteras Hurricanes will head out to square off against the Ocracoke Dolphins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cape Hatteras took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Mattamuskeet by a score of 48-38.

Meanwhile, Ocracoke entered their tilt with Bear Grass Charter on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 67-55 win over the Bears.

Ocracoke is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Cape Hatteras, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Cape Hatteras was dealt a bruising 59-32 loss at the hands of Ocracoke in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Cape Hatteras avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
