Jake Fitzpatrick gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in April on Monday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Kankakee Valley is 3-1-1 when Fitzpatrick allows one or fewer earned runs, but 7-8 otherwise.

Fitzpatrick's strong effort led Kankakee Valley over Lowell and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
