Battlefield has gone 7-2 against Gainesville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Battlefield Bobcats duke it out with the Gainesville Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Wednesday, Battlefield beat Stafford 54-45. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Gainesville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Osbourn Park 67-13. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 21 points or more this season.

Battlefield has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Gainesville, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Battlefield came out on top in a nail-biter against Gainesville in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, sneaking past 58-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for Battlefield since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
