Recap: Davenport Broncos vs. Auburndale Bloodhounds
The Davenport Broncos had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed by Auburndale on the road to the tune of 63-8 on Monday. Davenport has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 23 points or more this season.
Davenport had a senior duo take command as Sorayah Emilien scored 18 points along with seven steals and two blocks and Destiny Kim scored 14 points along with three blocks and two steals. Emilien is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least four every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was McKenzie Page, who scored eight points along with two steals.
The win (which was Davenport's third in a row) raised their record to 13-4. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.3 points. As for Auburndale, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
Davenport will square off against Lake Wales at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Davenport has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Auburndale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
