Baseball Recap: Thornton Fractional South Beats Thornton Fractional North for Their Fourth Straight Win

Thornton Fractional South won against Thornton Fractional North on Monday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Red Wolves' pitcher stepped up to hand the Meteors a 13-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-3 on Monday.

Abe Serna and Ryan Marnell did most of the damage at the plate: Serna went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double, while Marnell went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits Serna has posted over his last 12 games. Another player making a difference was Chris Rodriguez, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Thornton Fractional South always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thornton Fractional North only posted an OBP of .062.
