Softball Recap: Hillside Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Hillside's offense. They lost 17-0 to the Chapel Hill Tigers on Wednesday. The Hornets have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Hillside's record now sits at 5-4. As for Chapel Hill, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-6.

Looking ahead, Hillside will be playing at home against Southeast Raleigh at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Chapel Hill, they will head out on the road to take on Riverside-Durham at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.71 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
