South Jones hadn't done well against North Pike recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Braves came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 7-3. The win was familiar territory for the Braves, who have now won three games in a row.

South Jones' record now sits at 10-5. As for North Pike, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-14.

Coincidentally, South Jones and North Pike will both be playing Brookhaven the next time they take the field. The Jaguars will host the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Braves will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
